Bardo Touch

Venue: Галерея 2.04, Санкт-Петербург, Россия
“I found myself lying in a street market in the center of Tunisia. I was alone, my temples throbbing, I was conscious, and I could even stand up – I don’t know how. All of reality is turned around, the faces seemed blurred, and scents such sharp that I could fall again at any moment.”
Alexander Sedelnikov’s project “Bardo Touch” tells the story of the artist’s observations during his stay in Tunisia. The photos he took capture moments of life – unstable and unsteady. The artist himself tries to feel how he is both an observer and a participant in his life, how the world is seen through him, refracted inside him like a transformation in the camera obscura.
