This is the Beginning, or the Virtual Genius, Nova Art Contest

NOVA ART is a call for projects by young artists, who get a chance to implement their ideas, get mentor support from the professional community along with other tools for further development. The subject of the 7th contest dedicated to innovations in arts was “This is the Beginning, or the Virtual Genius.” The exhibition of projects made by the shortlisted artists took place at the Pavilion on New Holland Island on June 28 through July 21, 2019. 

Today, art explores new mythology of human relations in space and time, as well as overcomes challenges of forms and reality. Here, using new technologies is not a goal in itself, but a way to generate a universal narration about human’s place in the world of collective fantasies and ghostly facts through synthesis of diverse fields of science, history, folk legends and document research. This approach seems to be the most innovative one today. For modern art, this genre is a unique opportunity to question trueness of things visible and going on air, as well as to deconstruct customary historic paradigms.
