Focus: Photography

On October 18, MYTH Gallery will present a new group project, "Focus: Photography," exploring this artistic medium. "Focus: Photography" continues the gallery’s annual series of exhibitions dedicated to various aspects of the art scene. For instance, the 2024 project was "Focus: Collector," and in 2023, it was "Focus: Graphics."

"Focus: Photography" will bring together works by Alexander Gronsky, Igor Elukov, Maresiy Ivashchenko, Fedor Maximishin, Dmitry Markov, Ivan Mikhaylov, Kirill Savelev, and Alexander Sedelnikov. The project will create a space for dialogue between established and emerging artists, while also serving as a platform for strengthening horizontal connections among members of the art scene.

The exhibition offers a snapshot of current trends, showcasing works by both established authors and new names experimenting with form. This selection allows for tracing the place of photography in the contemporary context and gallery discourse. Furthermore, the project focuses not only on the artists but also on the galleries—key players involved in promoting and popularizing this medium.
