About unrequited love for the motherland
28.06.2018 – 30.06.2018
Venue: The Vyksa Artist-in-Residence
The artist explains the idea of the project as follows: "What will be shown at the exhibition is rather my personal reflection on the extremes that were and are still an integral environment of this name - "LENIN" - the extremes of loyalty, the extremes of love, duty, fear, and, curiously, the extremes of indifference."
"In this project, I use replicas of Baroque works, in particular flowers and wreaths, - Egor saying, - these objects are integral objects of the rite, which both greet the new, as well as see off and bury the past. With the help of expressive painting techniques and compilations of modern materials, I destroy these replicas of historical painting and bring them to an extreme degree of expressiveness, to the author's abstraction. These works are an intuitive gesture to convey the significance of the name of this street."
