The feeling when reality doesn’t coincide with expectations is familiar to all of us. Artists take from reality what corresponds to its most disturbing property – surprise. Therefore, the works of artists or artistic gesture are unique: they can’t be predicted and reproduced.

The aesthetics of Alina Glazoun’s sculptures is based on the combination of pop-art and Dadaism. Absurdity and beauty – is a classic recipe for victory over the existential crisis in the off-season and, at the same time, over deadlocks in art. Sculptures of small size can accommodate fabulous scenery, enchanting scenes, full of words and fragments of nature. Alina Glazoun’s works have a rare quality – wit without arrogance, balance on the verge of good and bad taste, and allow you to focus your thoughts on the magical emptiness left after exposing the focus immediately after its execution. They have almost no everyday life, social and political problems. This is a conscious position of the artist and her aesthetic choice – someone watches the First channel, and someone – Animal Planet.
