Level of Transparency. Vitalité fragile

The exhibition "Level of Transparency. Vitalité fragile", which presents the works of the artist of MYTH gallery Milena Strelkova, was opened at Heritage Gallery. 

The exhibition brought together more than a hundred objects of art, design and art & craft created over the past 20 years by 33 artists. Each of them reflects a variety of techniques of working with glass. The project demonstrates the reflections of artists and designers expressed in the form of poetic works. The works embody the complex interrelationships between the physical and the ephemeral, the earth and the air.

The most representative works of the authors' current research were selected for the exhibition. So, objects from the series "Nature" by Milena Strelkova combines crystal with copper. The work tells about the feeling of anxiety due to the fragility of our world and the complex relationship between nature and human. The Milena's myth is inhabited by strange creatures brought to life by a human-made disaster. Their surreal bodies made of fused gray glass chips in the pâte de verre technique, rise on thin legs and embody a new life born from the ashes.
