22.10.2022 – 10.01.2023
Venue: Tretyakov Gallery. Krymsky Val, 10
Curator: Tatyana Getman, Igor Volkov
Alina Glazoun and Katya Isaeva participate in the project "A Snow Leopard. To See and to Save". One of its main goals is to draw attention to the disappearance of the snow leopard population in Russia.
Alina Glazoun recalled the words of Scarlett O'Hara about the land which is the only thing in the world worth working for and dying for, the only thing that lasts. The artist created a series of objects "The Earth will withstand you" that is based on Soviet environmental posters motives - about the importance of protecting nature
Katya Isaeva participated in a research expedition to the Altai Mountains (to the habitats of the snow leopard), and created her own work based on its results - an interactive installation "Shatra". This is both a game of national Altai checkers and a metaphor inviting reflection on the history of Altai and the place of man in it.
