Group exhibition “Rhythms of the Inner Sea”

Location: Creative Cluster RAZIN. Stepan Razin Street, 8A
Dates: 05.06.2026 – 28.06.2026
Grabar Gallery and MYTH Gallery are launching a major group exhibition, “Rhythms of the Inner Sea,” on the grounds of the former Stepan Razin Brewery.
The exhibition will take place in one of the spaces within this historic complex, originally founded in St. Petersburg at the end of the 18th century. The industrial architecture of the brewhouse, with its preserved production structures and monumental scale, is designed to immerse the viewer in a sense of a disoriented “self”—a two-level space reminiscent of a sunken ship, through which one can only drift slowly, pausing and taking long breaths.
“Rhythms of the Inner Sea” is conceived in analogy to the fluid movements of an underwater diver. The absence of a linear route or explanatory wall texts allows the viewer to move at their own pace, guided by patches of color, light, and sound—"diving and surfacing" through the surviving circular openings that perforate the space of the brewhouse.
