Pop-up project Wunderkammer nummer 13

MYTH Gallery became a partner of the pop-up project WUNDERKAMMER NUMMER 13. Within the walls of a private ruined (but only temporarily) apartment on the Karpovka embankment, one could see the works of Alina Glazoun, Vadim Mikhailov, Nikita Seleznev, and Egor Fedorichev.

The type of location gave impetus to the creation of the installation. The works of eleven contemporary Russian artists were brought together in an autonomous, self-contained space inspired by the aesthetics of the so-called Wunderkammern, or "cabinets of rarities", Renaissance collections of all sorts of wonderful and exotic finds. Placed for the first time in such a context, works change the space, creating new visual associations and unexpected plot twists.
