Works by Egor Fedorichev and Ulyana Podkorytova at the "SRA Archive. Remontage" exhibition

The exhibition "SRA Archive. Remontage", the exhibition of which includes works by MYTH Gallery artists Ulyana Podkorytova and Egor Fedorichev.

The exhibition is the first step of a new activity of the Winzavod – science, research, art, archive. The project presented the art collection of the Winzavod Foundation, visitor reviews of the installation by Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, catalogs of the COMMISSION festival and other artifacts of projects of the early noughties and tenths of the XXI century. Remontage is a concept from winemaking, which was chosen for the name of the project because of its consonance with the main process in exhibitions, montage.

The exhibition includes an object by Ulyana Podkorytova called "U" from her personal project "The oblique" in 2016. The materials for the work were clay, glaze and wood. Ulyana mythologizes the female braid and creates a special artistic language of "kosism", ironically interpreting the recently popular idea of Russian cosmism. 

The canvas presented at the Winzavod in the author's painting technique by Egor Fedorichev belongs to the artist's first solo exhibition "Fold on the curtain" in 2017. In his work, Egor used materials found in the trash to represent cultural layers and include them in the space of the painting surface. Thus, the artist developed his own style of "intuitive archaeology".
