A new issue of the paper version of Masters Journal has been published — it was first presented at the 13th Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair in Moscow. In the journal, there is an interview with the Cosmoscow-2025 artists of the year by the PROVMYZA art group.
Galina Myznikova and Sergey Provorov relied on interdisciplinarity long before work at the intersection of performative and visual practices became a global trend, which is why PROVMYZA art group, founded in 1998, represented Russia equally successfully in Venice at the Biennale of Contemporary Art and the legendary Mostra del Cinema, and its projects were shown both at the Pompidou Center in Paris and at the Rotterdam Film Festival. PROVMYZA has always been able to be proactive: in recent years, new academic music has been firmly established on the Russian art scene, but it was Myznikova and Provorov who were perhaps the first to introduce it into this context. Alexandra Alexandrova talked with the classics of Russian media art about their artistic method, how "PROVMYZA" works with time, and how it interacts with the problems of the archive.
