MYTH Gallery presents the personal catalog of Vadim Mikhailov!

"Vadim Mikhailov is an artist whose unique style and mythical images captivated us at first glance! This catalog represents just one of the stages of our collaborative work. In this catalog, we would like to capture the artistic legacy of Vadim in today’s moment and pay tribute to his unique creative path. We adressed to Vadim's selected projects, and we also formed the primary methodology of his creative approaches. The artist’s dialogue with significant artifacts of a bygone time that have lost their existence is reflected in the catalog’s sections: architecture and household items, objects, canvases, banners, clothes, and rugs." — Olga Profatilo and Yulia Vyatkina

The catalog is made in a bilingual format. It has an open binding, and a fragment of the artist's large-scale painting "Exile from Paradise" is laid out on its cover. The works presented in the catalog were created between 2019 and 2024 and are held in dozens of private and museum collections. The catalog consists of seven sections: "Architecture and household items", "Objects", "Canvases", "Banners", "Clothes", "Rugs" and "Interviews". The publication includes some of Vadim's selected projects.: solo exhibitions "Waste Lands in the East" and "Whirlpool" at the MYTH Gallery, "It’s reverse" at the PERMM Museum of Modern Art, as well as the joint project of the MYTH Gallery and the House of Radio "Both Simple and Dark" with the participation of gallery artist Ulyana Podkorytova. The accompanying texts and comments were written especially for the catalog by Olesya Turkina, Alexander and Lisa Tsikarishvili, Sergey Limonov and Anton Kozlov, and were supplemented by curatorial materials by Anastasia Kotyleva, Lizaveta Matveeva, Alice Sycheva and Peter Belyi.
